CHUCK HNOT, PMP is a seasoned Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Public Safety Communications Subject Matter Expert with 30+ years of experience across consulting, project and program management, RF engineering, service operations, business development, sales, and manufacturer-side leadership.


His expertise encompasses public safety communications RF and dispatch infrastructure, LMR system assessments, technology modernization, lifecycle planning, strategic advisory, government engagement, and complex infrastructure investment decisions. His distinctive perspective combines extensive consulting and project-delivery experience with recent frontline manufacturer experience, providing a comprehensive understanding of the public safety communications ecosystem from both sides of the industry.

 

His roles required executive engagement with C-suite leaders, commissioners, CIOs, and state and local government officials, complementing his longstanding technical and project expertise.

 

Chuck's extensive project management experience involved directing complex emergency communications programs with capital budgets exceeding $100M. He has successfully upgraded communications infrastructure supporting tens of thousands of radios and recovered troubled projects by resolving execution barriers and aligning stakeholders.

 

His combination of technical depth, executive perspective, manufacturer experience, and public-sector understanding positions him to serve as a trusted advisor to organizations evaluating mission-critical communications, LMR infrastructure, technology options, modernization priorities, and major public safety communications investments.


Chuck holds an Associate of Specialized Technology in Avionics from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License with Radar Endorsement, and maintains his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

 

Beyond his professional work, Chuck maintains a longstanding interest in aviation, reflected in his FAA private pilot and Part 107 credentials.
